16/03/2015 at 9:11 am. Mine have been as dark as that on those cheap tests & the slightly more expensive shop tests. I usually test day period due or day before & I've never had any multiple pregnancies. I've never had a faint positive or had to guess if a line was there as it has always been very obvious. 0.Jun 7, 2011 · In my experience, ICs are crap at detecting the subtle shifts in pregnancy hormones. Your best bet is to use a FRER or any other pink test to check the darkness (although I've had good luck with Clearblue as well). Also, remember that hormones typically double every 48hrs or so, so you may be within this window (thus your tests look the same).
