Dilation has progressed from last week. I chose to do cervical checks I know it doesn’t necessary indicate when birth is coming but I like to know. Last week at 36 weeks I was 1.5 cm 0% effaced and today at 37 weeks I’m 3 cm and 60% effaced so I do feel that is some progress.As with 1 cm dilated, being 2 cm dilated doesn’t mean that labor is imminent. FWIW I was 3-4 cm dilated and 70% effaced for at least a month before I gave birth and I still ended up being induced at 40+5. 🤷🏻‍♀️ you can go from absolutely nothing to giving birth in a day so it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. No personal experience but I have friends who had babies at 37 weeks and did not need a NICU stay.I know dilation time can vary, but how long did it take for you to go from 1 cm and 50% effaced until you were in full out labor?
