In terms of burst DPS, The Lament is the absolute reigning champ at the present time. To take full advantage of this sword’s ludicrous damage there is a certain combo that needs to be done. Rev the blade up and then light attack three times to stack the ‘Banshee’s Wail’ buff up to x9, which will further increase damage.Lament doesnt lose to any of the swords we have in the game in anything but maybe at most the AoE or distance it hits in. The most optimal sustained dps is in fact 4 light into a heavy into 4 unrevved light hits, but you are suppose to have the secondary effect of lucent blade active for this combo to go like this.
