Kia stuck in park
Waited 30 seconds, and reinserted the fuze, and the CD popped out of the player. Put the radio code back in, and the volume control functioned correctly. Put another CD in (thinking the other CD may have been scrached etc.) and the same thing happened (i.e. could not read/eject and the volume control was stuffed).to stop this, either have dry brake pads / rotors or leave the park brake off. (obviously do not do this if there a chance that the vehicle could roll. so only do it on flat ground) The other way is to make sure the park brake is not engaged. Not sure if this is possible as I do not have my GT yet.2006 kia optima key stuck in park will not release the key. Pried it off. All right, with the brake on, and the ignition on. If you pull that plastic tab out, then use a small screwdriver or thin metal object to push the shift lock override lever down in that hole, it should go to park then and then you should be able to get your key out.
