1.25″ = Beast Stick, EWO, XOP, LWCG Steel. 1.5″ = Hawk, API, Muddy, Timber Ninja. 1.75″ = Lone Wolf, Novix, Trophy Line. I ditched the stock buttons (and suction cups) and made new buttons with fender washers, .350 thick aluminum spacer and 5/16" bolt. Makes for very close stacking and less weight. The attached photo shows the cut down sticks without the ropes ... Being able to climb any tree using just one Hawk Helium stick makes for a light and bulk-free pack. At this point it should be attached to the tree and will be a bit loose. I like the muddy sticks with the cam cleat system, but they are short sticks. Hawks are good, except for the strap fastening system. Its like each stick is missing one thing. Personally, I think the best stick would be the hawk with the cam cleat system, or the muddy if it was full sized.
