The number on the side has the letters M H stamped under it. That is before the 1927 version starting with 125xxx. Later in the 1930's, H&R started advertising their pistols and revolvers capable of handling the high speed .22 long rifle cartridge. The Trapper shared their serial numbers with the Model 1906 and the earliest Trapper serial number recorded that I can find is 108,999; and the latest is 182,482.
